Sunburn at Sea: When a Little Red Becomes a Real Burn Step ashore in the Mediterranean (especially Magaluf) in Summer and you’ll see them: bright-red tourists glowing like emergency flares. On yachts, though, sunburn isn’t just funny or uncomfortable — it’s a radiation burn injury. And when it tips into blistering, fever, or dehydration, it belongs in the same category as a thermal burn.
